Was a staffer there years ago. Still in my memory as a magical but real place. Thanks for the memories!
My 12 year old son has attended Camp Lohikan the last two summers. Each summer was magical. He was exposed to new activities that he loved and helped him gain confidence to try new things. He got to really connect to very nice kids from all over the world. The staff was all very warm and friendly and fun. Each year he had excellent counselors who really got him as a person and made him feel special. I just signed him up for next summer!
Fantastic place.....a amazing experience for kids. Having gone there since I was a 9 year old boy and now sending my children, Lohikan creates lifelong friends and memories. With a picturesque setting and unlimited activities, Lohikan is a perfect summer experience.
They block my road and think they own it all year when you try to drive by you can't and they just stand there and don't move hate that camp.
Our son attended Lohikan for two weeks last summer and absolutely LOVED it! It was his first sleep-away experience and he actually went through a little "summertime sadness" when he came home. He made friends for life and cannot wait to go back this summer again. The only thing that would be helpful for parents is to understand a little better that just sending money for the camp store is not enough, there wasn't enough of the comforts of home there, so my son wished we sent packages of goodies and we didn't know to do that. But overall it was an amazing experience and he ca't wait to return this year! The transportation counselors to/ from the airport is also highly recommended and reliable!
